1. Construction, reconstruction and repairment of bridges, overpasses and pipes.


  • Of reinforced concrete


  • he company has mastered the construction of bridges and viaducts of reinforced concrete. Transmost has constructed two overpasses of distinctive design, namely: the tunnel underpass with a beam purlin monolithic structure 24 m long on the Kiev-Odessa highway and the highway overpass with arched spans of 24 m on the bypass road which encircles the city of Chernivtsi. During the construction of these overpasses, different materials were used: a Doka" (a modern modular formwork), a Putsmaister concrete pump, and various, singular technologies from the Swedish company Tremix.



  • Prefabricated corrugated metal elements


  • Transmost has applied, for the first time in Ukraine, Sweden's unique construction technology of transportation tunnels of prefabricated corrugated metal elements. Through the use of corrugated elements, construction can begin at any time of the year and can be implemented in the shortest possible time in any geological conditions.



  • The method of vacuuming a fresh concrete slab


  • The Application of Tremixs modern technology when vacuuming fresh concrete slabs of a bridge provides not only a high frost resistance but also a high water resistance which allows for greater longevity.



  • The method of experimental one-piece reinforced concrete span construction


  • A bridge was erected on the Tatarov - Kolomiya - K. Podolsky road and was made of experimental, lightweight construction materials built from one steel span. This reinforced concrete bridge spans the length of 163,6 m. Furthermore, on the Chagor-Molodiya bypass road (Chernivtsi region) a similar bridge was built with the beams of Transmosts own manufacture.



  • Reconstruction and repair


  • The company has mastered the technology of repairing existing artificial structures with materials, which are the achievement of modern construction chemistry.




    2. Construction of deep foundations and parking lots


  • Kelly drilling system (bored piles)


  • The use of bored piles can be found in almost all types of soil (silt, clay and rocks), and allows for drilling close to existing facilities (within 60 cm) due to the fact that the drilling is protected by casing. Transmost owns the equipment that creates bored piles with a diameter of up to 2000 mm on any required depth. The production output of bored piles is 50-60 cubic meters per shift.



  • CFA drilling system (augercast piles)


  • Augercast piles are formed by drilling into the ground with a hollow stemmed continuous flight auger to the required depth or degree of resistance. No casing is required. A high slump concrete mix is then pumped down the stem of the auger. While the concrete is pumped, the auger is slowly withdrawn, lifting the spoil on the flights. A shaft of fluid concrete is formed to ground level. The entire process of drilling and concreting is controlled by the drilling machines computer, which allows for precise, high quality piles. The advantage of this method is its high drilling productivity - up to 200 lm per shift. This type of piles is mainly arranged in a predominantly sandy and sandy loam soils.



  • Full displacement piling  (FDP)


  • Full displacement piles are a variety of the augercast (CFA) piles that are used mainly in weak (plastic, clay and loamy) soils. The main working body is a hollow shuttle-roller. In this situation, the soil is not ejected outwards, but compressed. The advantage of this method is that it increases the bearing capacity of the piles due to soil compaction. On top of that, the construction site is not littered, since it eliminates the process of extracting the soil and the need for its removal from the site.



  • The method of secant piles


  • In 1997, for the first time in Ukraine, the casing of the trunk number 220 ("diaphragm wall") was implemented during the construction of the Syretsko-Pechersk metro-line In Kyiv by way of the secant piles method.



  • Jet grouting technology 


  • During the construction of the bridges at 77+397 km on the Tatarov - Kosovo - Kolomiya - Borshchev - Kamyanets Podilskiy Road and at 103+555 km on the Striy - Ivano-Frankivsk - Chernivtsi - Mamaliga Road, the company used a rotary drilling rig SM-401, developed by the company SOILMEC specifically for construction work requiring Jet grouting technology. This technology is based on the simultaneous break-up and mixing of soil by a jet of cement grout. After hardening of the soil-concrete mixture in the ground, the new material soilcrete is formed. It possesses high strength and deformation characteristics. The main advantages of this technology are:
    - wide range of soils that can be successfully treated - from clays to gravel;
    - a higher productivity of construction work;
    - the use of light-weight and small size drilling rigs in small working areas;
    - no vibrations to the surrounding soil during the execution of the work, and consequently a reduction of the risks of settlement around the structure;
    - an extremely high predictability of the results of the construction work allowing an accurate calculation of not only the characteristics of the structures that are being created but also the level of labor costs and materials.
    When fencing a trench (as the retaining walls) the soil-concrete columns structure has several functions:
        1. Treats horizontal and vertical loads;
        2. Serves as a vertical anti-filter barrier.

    Continuous computer control of the parameters of drilling and grouting makes it possible to build underground soil-concrete structures with a given configuration and strength.



    3. The construction of bank protecting, landslide protecting barriers and retaining walls  


  • Using the "Doka" formwork system


  • Bank retaining, anti-landslide and emergency works are executed using a modern formwork system, the "Doka. This system reduces by one third the construction of monolithic retaining walls.



  • Retaining walls of pre-cast concrete contour blocks


  • The construction of retaining walls from specially reinforced concrete blocks F-1 and reinforcement cages with filled cavities allows, in the shortest possible delay, the restoration of destroyed roads and also the standstill of landslides in mountains without breaking the communications between settlements.



  • The construction of a reinforced concrete pillar covered by a metal shell


  • The construction of the reinforced concrete pillars covered in a metal shell on a bridge over the river Rika in Khust extends the life of the structure. The surfaces of the stands are protected from abrasion by high speed portable boulder-pebble sediments. Monolithic concrete strut allows a reallocation of loads between the stands. 



    4. Construction of ports and jetties 


    In 2007, the company mastered a new development - the construction of sea piers. In the sea port of the city of Sevastopol, the company is strengthening pier number 20 by constructing an extension with a depth of 17 meters. This includes: the dismantling of the existing railway line, creating bored piles with a diameter of 620 mm, creating a rear crane beam, assembling crane tracks, creating sheet piling along the existing quay wall which is executed by the vibro-installation method and the casing in water followed by grillage concreting.




    5. Construction of civil structures


    The construction of the recreational complex "Ozyornoe" in Chernovtsy.
    The construction of various structures at the Sinegora Recreation Center in Guta, a city in the Bogorodchany district, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.




    6. Production of reinforced concrete spans and structures

    CJSC Transmost possesses its own production base, which has factories for the production of reinforced concrete structures which are located in Chernovtsy and in Solotvino in the Transcarpathian region and  have an annual capacity of 25 thousand cubic meters of precast concrete. CJSC Transmost can therefore produce its own concrete beam spans of 24 m and 33 m in length.




    7. Producing of easy transportable on-site housing for the construction workers


    To ensure comfortable living conditions for the workers at the construction sites, the company has mastered the production of residential and administrative vans equipped with everything necessary for the comfortable living of workers at the sites during construction.
